The Tech Center of CFHI was found in 1993
through approval of the State. The Center is
provided with the Technology Center Office,
National Heavy Industries Research &
Development Center, CFHI’s Dalian Design & Research Institute,
Special Equipment Research Institute,
Metallurgy Research Institute, Cold Processing
Research Institute and Welding Research
Institute.
The Center possesses 580 personnel and experts
specialized in engineering technology,
research and development, among of whom there
are 340 senior engineers or higher than that,
4 PhDs, 24 persons rewarded the special
premium from the government, and 32 experts
have made outstanding contribution and
entitled by the province and the city
government.
The Center establish firmly the thought as one
generation for manufacturing, one generation
for development, one generation for research,
one generation for idea, push technical
innovation deeply, make the enterprise set up
technology development system surround the
Tech Center as the core. The technology
improvement system has been formed in the
interior of the enterprise under leading of
the market and integration of science
research, development, design and
manufacturing.

It focuses on the development strategy and
plan of the corporation, science research new
product development, basic foundation
technology revamping and enterprise
information foundation.
National Heavy Industries Research &
Development Center
As a head, CFHI is establishing the National Heavy
Industries Research & Development Center approved and
supported by the State under integration with the other five
stock holders. This Center will target independent
technology innovation on important equipment in the State
level and promote heavy industry technology improvement. The
demand associated with the State’s important project
construction and heavy machinery industry will be taken into
account. The consequent engineering research achievement
will be unceasingly put into the domains of large
plate/strip rolling plant equipment, heavy reactors such as
hydrogenated, nuclear power and coal liquefaction,
electricity power casting and forging, etc and provide the
general technology to the industries by technology
introduce, cooperation and self development. It will
endeavor to research and manufacturing the domestic first
heavy technical equipment in state-of-the-art, and form the
integrated system competence under the leading of science
research and become
the main contractor of the whole engineering project.
Dalian Design & Research
Institute
It focuses on science research, development
and design of the heavy equipment in China. It
possesses enormous capability and
state-of-the-art level on development,
research and manufacturing of domestic heavy
machinery product in the fields of design and
development of large metallurgical plant
equipment, forging equipment, mining
equipment, large petrochemical plant
equipment, nuclear power equipment, design of
gear drive, fluid drive and control unit,
electric drive unit, automation system,
research and manufacturing of instrument and
meter, computer finite element analysis,
engineering elastic test and measuring. It has
been grown up as the important technology
force to against the competitive enterprise of
the developed countries in heavy machinery
manufacturing industries.
Metallurgy Research
Institute
It is responsible for preparation of hot
processing procedure and constitution of hot
processing process norm and standard. It’s
also positioned for physical/chemical
examination and test research.
Cold Process Research Institute
It is responsible for the work like research
and test of machining process procedure,
spread and application of new process
procedure and new technology research,
proposal design of tech revamping of machining
equipment and so on.
Welding Research
Institute
It is responsible for welding technology
research and take on development and research
on welding process, welding material and
process auxiliary equipment of large
fabrication structure parts and CategoryⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ
pressure vessel. It’s also responsible for
welder training and issuance of welder
certification within the corporation and the
other department. The training center has been
qualified to carry out the certification
identical with the State level.

Research Institute
It is responsible for the design and
development of the special products.
